Is the fuel filter on the 2010 (2.0L 4cyl) part of the pump? I'm having trouble finding replacement info for the filter so I'm guessing that it's integrated with the pump. Is the filter something I can replace or will I need to take it in?

Thanks

The ONLY f/filter on your car is in the tank, mounted to the bottom of your fuel pump. Unless your have some bad gas or it's clogged because of that, there is NO reason to replace your f/filter. There is a acess panel under the rear seat if you did want to replace. 31090 2D100 is Kia's part#. $12.00 from any Kia dealer.

Car runs fine, I'm probably using the wrong schedule in the book. I thought I saw a suggested replacement at 37,500 miles. We are at 36,900 now.

Your talking about the gas tank air filter, and yes, you should be replacing it when you get a chance. Kia's part # is 31453 3E000. $15.00 from any Kia dealership.

Thanks for the info. Just watched a youtube video of a kia technician replacing one on an Optima. Seems simple enough.

OK, I tried replacing the filter without removing the wheel, guess that's not going to work. I'll have to try again with the wheel off. I could access the filter, but couldn't remove it.
