My brake lights are all out on my vehicle. I took my car to advance auto parts and they checked the fuse for me and the fuses were good. I tried replacing the bulbs and the brakes still didn't work. So now im almost 100% sure that its the break light switch, only problem is I don't know how to replace it and I don't have the money to take it to the auto shop. Can someone please tell me step by step how to do it are send me to a link that will tell me! Thanks so much!

Kia Forte Break switch recall and important question

I just took mine to the Kia dealer (Glendale Kia) with the recall notice
and they replaced the break switch in 30 min at no charge.

Of course they found a host of other things I needed:
$599 Service tune up 30k ( do I really need that?)
$199 Break service in front ( I guess I need that)
$530 Tire change with alignment (probably need that)

This one was recommended if I dont do the Tune up:
$199 transmission fluid flush or $122 top off ( that one worries me)

Any recommendations how I can do this on the cheap?
I am in a bad situation financially and this car is all I have in my name.

Thank you in advance!

follow whatever it tells you in your maintenance section of your owners manual, anything else is your choice. Also it does not have to be done at a dealership, find a local garage just make sure you keep a record of what is done.

Would be helpful if we knew some details of what you are driving. Also what mileage you have.
