Just got a 2009 Sedona. Key FOB didn't work. Put a new battery in it, same direction as the one in it cause I did it quick. Noticed it was sticky on the board. Still didn't work.
So I took to cleaning it with IPA, and noticed that no wonder it didn't work. They had the battery in wrong, and I just copied the one in it at the time.
Checked it out. It only unlocks the driver's door. 2 clicks or however many clicks: only the driver's door.
It will not lock any door. The FOB light does lite up for unlock or lock so I believe it is working. When I went to a locksmith for a couple of keys today, he said too its not the FOB.
I am taking a barely educated guess maybe a door sensor? Interior lights go on/off as they should (except the hatch lite). I didn't have my meter with me to check the rear light but it looked good. Parking lights flash when unlocking the driver's door. They do not flash for the 2nd press of the unlock or the lock.
When I found the rear hatch light not working, I looked for the door switch that activates it. Anyone know where it is?
I hadn't yet posted this and I was just out putting in a new overhead console as mine came busted, and just before I came back in, the key FOB did unlock all doors. Just once. did not happen before this. I had cycled all the doors. (Yet the interior lights all work for the 4 doors), I just tried again from inside my apartment and just 2 flashes, not 4 like it should for unlocking all door. Still no lock.
Anyone have a clue or seen this?
