You must Turn off the 4WD Low only when stopped. You can't turn it off while in Motion. You can turn on 4WD Hi to up to 80 km/h and you have to stop to switch to Low or to go back to auto. If you were not moving while switching, like it happened to me, try to fiddle with the button, and it will eventually turn off. My friend with his Land Cruiser experiences the same problem. Commercial 4WD are not made for what 4WD is meant for, really. Hope i helped. Update me if something happened.

 

WASNT DRIVING, TURNED IT ON AND THE LIGHT WAS BLINKING... ON LW... BUT ITS AT THE DEALER AND THEY ARE DEALING WITH IT... UNFORTUNATELY, I CANT GET A LOANER:... I DONT UNDERSTAND WHY... BUT THEY SAY THAT THIS DEALER DOESNT SUPLLY THEM...^_^

 

I hope they fix it soon. I am not really bothered about the 4WD in my car for some reason. I see this problem occuring on many commercial SUV's, and i know it is not KIA's fault. And besides, who needs 4WD? I had 3 SUV with 4WD and never used it. When i go on desert trips here in Kuwait, i never use 4WD. I step on the gas, and i fill the camels's noses with sand. But Yes it should be fixed, so good luck and update me if they find out what causes this in many SUV's. Greetings from Kuwait
