I was wondering if there's a known issue with the AM radio in the 2008 Sportage. The AM radio works fine when the car isn't moving. Otherwise, you get nothing but static. I did a Google search and found other KIA owners with a similar problem.

I think you should try to connect your CB to the battery using a coaxial cable.
