The TPMS light came on when I changed my winter tires to my summer tires. The winter tires had the factory rims and the summer tires have after market steel rims. Tire pressures are at recommended settings. Also the check engine light is on. The code that displays is P0496-Mod7-Evaporator Emission System High Purge Flow. The engine milage is just under 62000. Any ideas would be appreciated

Well, the two issues are most likely unrelated, so lets do one at a time.

P0496 high purge flow- most likely the purge valve located under the hood. The solenoid will still function but the diaphram that is supposed to hold vacuum has failed (most likely).

TPMS system warning light- Do your winter/summer rims both have sensors installed? If not, that's the problem. If both rims have sensors, then the sensors currently on the vehicle will have to be programmed. If there aren't sensors on the vehicle now the light will never go out. If there are sensors on the car now, but there weren't before (the aftermarket wheels), the codes will have to be cleared.
