When the hoods up, just right and below of the engine cover there seems to be oil pooling in some of the pockets. I wicked it all out a week ago and it stayed clean for about a week and then noticed it is back full of oil again. It seems to pool over and then run down and drip.

Haven't taken the engine cover off yet. I'll try that tonight. Is there an area that's would leak under the cover not sure where the filter is located on this van?

Thanks
Jeff

Is it pooling on top of the transmission? If so check the oil filter cap o-rings. If they are not changed every oil change, they will flatten and not seal. Also, sometimes aftermarket ones are not the correct thickness. Check the cap for damage. Its common for someone not to have the correct tool and use big pliers, and damage and crack the cap.

It looks like it is on the transmission is where it is pooling. I took the engine cover off and wiped the filter cover off to make it nice and clean around the edges but wasn't able to twist it off bar handed. I'll try again tomorrow. D I need a tool to get it off or is there a different way. I also wiped it clean so I could see if it is leaking from there?

When you change the filter do you throw that cap out and put a new one on and a new gasket.

NO!!!! the cap is kept and reused. there are two O Rings one large that seals the cap at the thread and another small one that seals the bottom of the canister. It may be the rocker/valve cover gasket also leaking.

The valve cover gasket is located between the valve cover and the cylinder head. I have replaced the valve cover gaskets on both of my 06 Sedonas. Seems to be pretty routine for this motor.
