Hi all, I wonder if anyone on here can tell me how I can find a 12 volts ignition switched supply, preferably under the bonnet. All fuses seem to be permanent 12 volts.

I need an ignition controlled 12 volts for the DRL's I have fitted. All the work is done, everything works, but I simply cannot find a switched 12 volts to run the lights.

Cheers all... Keith

OK I found what I was looking for. None of the fuses are useful so I turned to the relays (blue "boxes" oblong in shape about 3cms by 1.5 cms) inside the fuse-box under the bonnet I used the one marked up as Rad2, this is the radiator cooling fan relay. Remove the relay, and then, looking down on the empty socket, you will see 4 contacts, identify the contact on the RHS.
This contact becomes "live" with 12V DC as soon as the ignition is switched on fully.

Take care you use the correct contact, using the LHS contact causes the cooling fan to run all the time.
