I am trying to remove the driver side airbag module located in the steering wheel of my 2005 spectra. I have viewed the parts breakdown on kiatechinfo which shows two screws on the side of the wheel and one on the bottom (there isn't any type of screw on the bottom). I've also referred to a previous post which didn't provide a clear answer.

In the attached picture showing the side of my steering wheel, is the screw (circled in red) what I should be removing on each side? If so, what type of tool do I need to purchase to remove it?

Thanks in advance!

There is one Torx (star) bolt on each side on the steering wheel behind the covers. Remove them and the air bag will pull out.
PLEASE disconnect the battery for at least 1/2 hr BEFORE playing in the area of the air bags and DO NOT reconnect the battery or try to start the car with the air bag disconnected...Otherwise you WILL set an ERROR code in the ABS module that you can't easily "reset".
