Hey, I have an 04 Sedona and the engine gernaded in it. I have found a low km 3.8 from an 06, I was just wondering if it is possible to successfully do this swap, or if im better off trying to find another 06 with a dead engine?

Let me get this straight.....you have a 2004 Sedona with the 3.5L engine which blew up. You found an 06 3.8L engine that you want to put in place of your 3.5L. If this is the case...no it will not work. You will need to find another 3.5L.

The 06 Sedona with a dead engine would have to be at give-away prices for this plan to work. How sure are you that the 06 engine is in good condition? Perhaps some of the accessories and parts etc. from the 04 might be worth keeping as spares for the Franken-Sedona.

Pretty sure, the only reason im considering this is because the engine has 9500 km on it, and from what i understand the 3.8 is more reliable then the 3.5, so i would rather find a body to fit the engine if the swap won't work with my van.

The 3.8L is a great motor. I have one with 240k miles (386k kms) that runs perfectly without any issues. If you can somehow find an 06-10 Sedona with a blown engine you would be golden. Unfortunately, without extraordinary modification and expense - you aren't putting the 3.8L in an 02-05 model. It would cost more than it's worth.
