I wouldn't be too worried. If you are going to a KIA dealership's parts department, they will give you the correct part. I replaced mine in under 10 minutes and its been working perfectly ever since.

Thanks, had to flatten the ends out and slide it right in the spot and taped it up with electrical tape. Worked really well! Gets a little hot when the door is open, I hope that's normal (even with the original) and no electrical fires start. :mellow:Rectifier Diode part # = 276-1661

The diode referenced above is round and nothing like the one that goes into the connector. Get the proper replacement from a KIA dealer.
