I bought this 2003 Kia Rio RX-V with its shift lever knob missing its two screws. I am still able to shift the car and use the overdrive button but I do not like the knob spinning around the selector lever. For some reason I am not able to simply line up the holes on the knob with the holes on the lever. There seems to be something in the knob preventing it from sliding into place. When I lift the knob up off the the lever, I notice an angles piece of plastic on the end of the selector lever. IS this supposed to be there? IF so so, does it sit a certain way int he selector lever knob? To me, it seems like it should go back together easily but, for some resason, it won't. Any suggestions?
