I recently had the clutch replaced on my car, but as the car warms up the clutch seem to get stiffer & slightly spongy.

Now when it running from cold it seem fine until it warms up again.

Any ideas what could cause this problem before i book into a garage.

also does the UK model Kia Mentor have a cable clutch or is it hydraulic?

I would search over on the Kia Sephia forum for more info on your issue,

on the 2000 Sportage (US Model) here, the clutch is hydraulic, and there is a bleeder screw at the transmission housing to bleed any trapped air out of the line - the clutch is tied into the brake system (uses brake fluid), so the brake fluid reservoir needs to be re-filled, as the clutch line is bled. (When there is air or old fluid in the line, it behaves exactly like you describe..)

Hope the info helps.
