Hey Everyone!

I'm hoping there's someone here who can help me with an issue I'm having on a 2001 Kia Spectra. Here's the issue:
The turn signals won't work either way in the morning or whenever I start up the car, but if I leave the signal either right or left after a few seconds it will click once or twice. Gradually they will revert back to working after a few more sporadic seconds of working and not working, but it does take like three minutes for them to fully function again. The emergency signals work perfectly fine, therefore I'm thinking it's the turn signal switch?

Any help will be greatly appreciated,

Thanks!

Greetings,

Given that they 'eventually' work, it 'could' be the switch, but would suspect the (Turn Signal Relay) and/or bad grounding as possible causes also,

*A failing turn signal relay may impede current flow, (+)
*Bad / Poor grounds to the turn signals may impede current flow also (-),

** I would start with the (easiest) check first: remove and inspect each turn signal bulb, in particular the bottom contacts and bulb sockets for any moisture or corrosion.. Replace any bulb that is badly discolored, has pitted contacts, or is otherwise suspect.
