im redoing the front passenger 4wd hub on my 2000 sportage and their are two parts i cant identify..if i knew what they are called i can find them.. they are both round...one has 12 holes in it and the other 2 holes and are notched on the outside of the ring opposite the sides of the two holes.i know this is sounding stupid,but my son is fixing this for me and theses are the parts we need to finish it! thanks for the help

Welcome > these parts sound like the retaining washer which has 12 holes an adjusting nut which has 2 slots and 2 threaded small holes and the center hole is also threaded ,they don't have to be replaced ( unless damaged ) a good cleaning an reinstall.

There should be two screws that secure the locking ring (retaining washer) to the adjustment nut. Like Chief said as long as they are not damaged clean them up and reuse them.
