Sure could. Did it just start one day? Do you hear anything out of the ordinary?

Have you tried the idle adjustment screw? Does the engine start differently?

It could be a vacuum leak or a sticky Idle Air Control valve (IAC or ISC).

Please don't suggest adjusting the throttle stop screw which you have termed "idle adjustment screw".

From the KiaTech web site:
The Throttle Stop Screw is factory set and must not be adjusted. Any adjustment will negatively affect the engine performance.
