Hello, new guy here.... My son recently bought a 2010 Sportage with a 2.7L engine. Suddenly dumped all the antifreeze from the water pump side of the engine after squealing a short bit. We're assuming water pump, but haven't checked thoroughly. I've worked on most of our families cars for 30+ years, so I'm not afraid to jump in. I have air tools and a large variety of hand tools.
If it is the water pump, we're planning on buying the kit, with belt and pulleys, etc. How big of a job time-wise do you guys think it may be?
Thanks in advance, I appreciate it!

Ours was done by the shop.. they said it's part of the timing belt service. Not sure on time, know the shop had it done before closing time.

While you’re in there, might as well throw a new timing belt on. It took me a good 6-8 hrs the first time. 2nd time was 3-4 at most. Search you tube for some vids.
