My son's Sephia is misfiring on 3. I've read all the great posts regarding this problem and started by buying new sparks and 1 coil?? I'm used to working (when i was a kid) on cars that had 1 coil. OK, its Sunday, parts store is closed and decided to insert the new coll on one side and then the other with no results. Assuming this is the problem, could both be bad and replaced?

Changed the sparks (.030 gap) and wires are next. I noticed that #3 plug was fouled and the rest were fine. Any help appreciated.

Welcome to the forum.

The typical course of action to cure a misfire is, change the pugs (gapped at 0.30"), then HT wires, and if that doesn't sort it out then the coils.

PS. How about filling in your profile detail.

Welcome to the KIA forums. If you have a multimeter you can check the plug wires resistance , it should be 500ohms or less per inch of length. If you have a break in a wire it will also show up in the readings.
