Help! I need power steering belt adjusted on a 1999 Kia Sportage and can not find anywhere to tighten the belt. Does anyone know how to do this or should I just take to dealer and have it replaced? If so, does anyone know how long would take and how much would cost? Thanks for any help you can give!

Remove large skid plate from under side (4 bolts) to gain access .
Inspect belt for cracks or missing pieces .
If ok loosen top and bottom bolts, do not remove.
Rotate pump with pry bar, top hole is elongated to allow movement.
If belt is bad you have to remove a/c belt (if equipped) which has a idler pulley , locked in place via center bolt ( just loosen ) there is a adjusting screw, to remove p/s belt.
Try to use Kia or Gates belt.
Tighten bolts .. reinstall skid plate.
Don't know what a dealer will charge but you should be able to complete this a hour. depends on skill level.
