Hi guys! I love the original 18" wheels but my engine is 1.6 GDi and they are not recommended. How bad will it be to put the original 18" on my beauty?

We need an original tire size? To compare.

You might be able to put 18" wheels on there, if the bolt pattern, & offset are the same, But, the 18" tires you choose must be very close in diameter to the original size, or it could damage your drivetrain, & affect the speedometer.

If your concern is the lack of torque or power from the smaller engine, you can always try a lightweight wheel, but that can be expensive.

Seems to be a bit of a myth that large wheels need more power/torque. Larger wheels will have a bit more rotational inertia, but not enough to stop the car from going!

Personally, I'd stick with whatever wheels you have and save a lot of money.
