I was told it only applies to 2001 and newer kia's I believe thats when Kia started that program, not sure if you are able to transfer the warrenty from one owner to another..

i've called the dealer about the 100,000 mile drive train warranty recently and they said that it only applies to the first owner of the vehicle. once the car has been traded in or sold by the first owner....only the 60,000 mile/5 year warranty applies up to the 20th owner.

can you really do that? it would probably be a waste of money for me to do when i have 87,000 on my sephia....or would it? i just don't wanna be stuck with the bill if the tranny goes out before 100,000 miles.

To get it you have to get it at time of purchase.
