Occasional lurker, first time poster (please have mercy if the search function has failed me!).

A few days ago my 2006 Picanto (I believe 1.1) started having a strange problem. The power windows (both front and rear) began to intermittently fail and several systems have stopped working altogether...

What doesn't work at all:
- Wipers
- Headlights (parking lights and turn signals however DO work)
- AC compressor
- Blower
- Power mirrors
- Seat heaters
- Front/rear fog lights
- Rear defrost

I haven't checked the cigarette lighter. I have disconnected the battery in an attempt to reset the ECU. I have checked all fuses inside and under the hood. Voltage across the battery when off reads 12.6v, and 14.3v while running. I think the battery itself is fine.

The open door alarm was only working intermittently before and now works when the headlights are switched into the on position. The climate control illumination seems to have a loose wire (often remedied by a swift smack to the side of the center console)- that had already been the case.

I can't find anything online other than the fuse block diagram (all links I could find in much older threads are dead).

Are there places where I can check voltages to help trace down the problem? Do these systems share a common ground or multi-function relay? The windows work sometimes after completely turning the car off an back on again which might imply a relay problem over a ground or wiring issue. Any help, input or resources would be greatly appreciated!

I think without any blown fuses it could only be the BCM (ECATS?) unit. If so, would BCM failure be indicated by any particular fault codes when using a diagnostic tool? Are there any other markers to determine BCM failure? Would be good to be certain before buying a used replacement.
