I just bought a used Spectra5 and the fake leather bag that covers the shifter is all torn up. I want to replace it. It's an inexpensive part, but is it hard to do? I'm not a mechanic, just a owner who wants to spiff up her cute new Spectra5!
Contact "cobra259" with a pm (private message)...
He should be able to get you the part# and the price.
He's a moderator here and also a parts manager at a KIA dealership in Michigan.
He'd probably know how to replace it also...
Your "cute" 05 Spectra "could" have a serious problem just waiting to happen also...The timing belt needs to be replaced EVERY 5yrs or 60k miles..If it has not been replaced or you don't know "if" it has been replaced...You should have it done...The engine in this car is an "interference" type meaning that "if" that belt breaks or jumps a few teeth you can seriously damage/destroy it (the engine)... This is a warning I give all "new" Spectra/Rio owners who visit here..
The car can go over 300k miles "if" properly taken care of..
