I can not figure out how to remove the electrical connector from the coolant temperature sensor near the thermostat housing. It looks like the release is inbound towards the head but I'm not sure. Any ideas would be welcome!:
There are 3 "blade" connectors (sometimes call spade connectors). I guess you just have to wiggle them off. There's usually a small detent in each blade which has to be over-ridden. Looks like there's a bayonet arrangement on the outside of the connector as well.
It looks like I have to lift up a clip and slide it off the sensor but there is no room to get my fingers on the other side of the plug connector. The side facing me has no clip showing. It could be my bad luck that the sensor was installed a half turn too much which put the clip in a bad spot.
