New to the forum so if I do or ask something dumb please forgive.

My reverse lights won't work, I bought an OEM switch but cannot for the life of me find the switch on the car (2004 Sorento 3.5). I looked in the console and have been all over the tranny from underneath. I bought a Haynes repair manual and it doesn't even mention the switch anywhere in the book.

Any help would be much appreciated.
Thanks,
Rick

Thanks rhandwor, I'll have a look.
I started with what I thought would be the logical places like the shifter and near the linkage on the tranny and then over the whole tranny and the top and back of the engine.

I'll have a look on the transaxle, thanks.

It screws into the transmission case.

I have been all over the transmission a couple of times Cobra, if it's screwed into the tranny case they have hidden it well. The only thing with an electrical connection that even looked close turned out to be what I think is a temp sensor. I'll have another look when I check the transaxle because the transmission case is the place that makes the most sense, ya never know nowadays though.

Thanks for the reply.
