Someone on Fbook recently installed one of these in a non-Bose SXP. Said it was worth it and isn't overbearing, plus it's easily removed for more space or to take and use as a BT speaker.

How would you "install" one of these? It's a full range speaker...
One of my first cars was a Subaru Justy - 5 Speed 4WD - I loved that thing. (showing my age here) LOL!
I had a Bazooka Tube powerd by a Nakamichi 100W Mono Sub Amp - It thumped!
A Bazooka Tube to replace the sub in a Sorento would put crazy bass in there!
I'm wondering if the Amp under the pasenger seat also contains the guts for anything else in the infotainment system.
Seems like an awful lot of wires for just an amp.

i was thinking it should just need power from the battery, and a ground. But then i thought more, and i assume it will also need some sort of turn on lead. As for signal, that’s just the Bluetooth. But then how would you be able to play through the Bluetooth sub and the car speakers from the same audio source? It makes no sense to me.

If you’re gonna bother doing anything, a powered subwoofer is the way to go in this car. Either a flat one (crutchfield makes a good one under their house brand Sound Ordnance) under the drivers seat, or a bigger driver in a sealed enclosure tucked behind the third row. Pioneer makes a half decent one.
