I had the new ones on hand, but thought I'd try what I'd seen on Youtube videos, and the potting compound was so hard even working carefully there was no way of extracting the battery from the sensor without terminal damage.
And only once I got the battery out did I find its not what others online claimed was the replacement.
Its really simple to have the car learn the new sensors codes - later models don't need any device for learning the new sensors, but the devices are about $10 on Amazon.
