Angry Auto start / stop and no turbo cool down warning

So unless I have missed something here, Kia (and probably most other manufacturers) really need to sort out their design / engineering team as they really have not thought this through.

Here is the situation: I am cruising at about 160 KM/H (100 mph) on the motorway (freeway) and I pull into a service station for petrol and a coffee and the Auto start / stop function turns the engine off, just like that. I know this is how it works but surely, there should be certain situations where it will not, such as when the turbo is still at 900 degrees celsius.

We are supposed to let a turbo cool down after driving at these speeds before turning off the engine so 1. Why the hell is the engine allowed to turn so soon after and while the turbo will obviously be extremely hot? and 2. Why is there not at least some sort of warning to keep the engine running at least a half a minute to allow the turbo to cool down?

Or is my limited knowledge of turbos and temperatures just not adequate to make any sort of judgement here?

I have warning lights about the the battery being used while the engine is not running, I get warnings that the boot is open and many other warnings that I frankly do not need but no warning for the turbo and the engine? What the hell? My 7 year warranty had better cover that turbo!!

Seeing as I cannot edit my post, I will reply to myself. This is taken from the Kia user manual for my Stonic:

2. After high speed or extended driving,
requiring a heavy engine load,
idle the engine about 1 minute
before turning it off.
This idle time will allow the turbocharger
to cool prior to shutting
off the engine.

CAUTION
Do not turn off the engine immediately
after it has been subjected
to a heavy load. Doing so
may cause severe damage to
the engine or turbocharger unit.

All the while I am forced to use the stop start system which I cannot turn off permanently. Incredible. Just incredible.

I've never had a Stop-Go car, but if I did I'd disable that.

I'd expect it to shut the engine off only after it idles for a couple of minutes.
