Cool Hello, World!

Last post was moved to the Sorento sub-forum because my introduction was very detailed and specific about my car. Lets try this again because posting here is a requirement for not having to get moderator approval for posts.

We named our car Black Cherry and she's a beautiful 2012 Sorento SX. Loving driving her and that's saying something for me. I'm not into cars that don't pull me in emotionally when I drive them (hence, the Charger in my avatar). This is one of the first S/CUVs that has me really enjoying driving it. I've owned an '05 Honda Civic that was totaled in a 45 mph texting related rear end collision while I was stopped at a stop light, an '07 Jeep Liberty 4x4 (miss it but it had nearly 200k miles when it went away) and a '12 Ford Escape XLT AWD V6, and I traded the Escape for the Charger.

My wife, who is the primary driver of Black Cherry, had an '00 Ford Taurus and then an '11 Honda Civic. We traded the '11 Civic for this car and have loved it over the past two weeks so far. It has more space than either of my SUVs I had, and more cargo space (but not more legroom space believe it or not!) than the Charger.

Thanks for welcoming us into the KIA life!

I like the look of the 2012's. I have a silver 09 sorento and I love it. Bought it at 40k miles in 2015. I'm about to hit 100k and it's been a pretty good suv. Knock knock. Anyways have fun with black cherry!

You can do it!

For sure, I actually went with the Charger for my personal car for the legroom reason. First car I haven't had to get out and stretch every so often during long trips. Same with the Sorento. We took a 3 hour round trip to the Quad Cities IA/IL and it wasn't bad at all.
