  1. 2012 Kia Rio engine compartment push rivets?

    3G (2012 - 2017) Rio
i actually found some for our 2014 in the junkyard though it's rare to see a 3G Rio in the junkyard. Did you try the dealership?
  2. Rear Wheel Hub Assembly starting to go

    3G (2012 - 2017) Rio
Rio rear wheel bearing assemblies have 4 mounting bolts. Where are you getting hubs for 50 bucks? Anything decent seem to start at just under 80 and goes up to as much as almost 140.........even the ones at Autozone or OReillys are about 90. Would not recommend changing just the bearings...
  3. 2013 Rio TPMS Reset Button

    3G (2012 - 2017) Rio
Follow up on the learn cycle. The learn cycle only comes into effect when you replace any of the tire pressure monitors. If you use the ones that were already on the vehicle, they system doesn't see any changes and the light won't come on. The Rio's TPMS system is pretty basic, not at all like...
  4. 2013 Rio TPMS Reset Button

    3G (2012 - 2017) Rio
There is no TPMS reset button. The TPMS does a 'learn cycle' that should take no more than 20 minutes according to the service manual. If it was working properly prior to the shop changing your tires, then the shop is the likely cause of your problem. When I bought new tires for ours, the...
  5. Engine died

    3G (2012 - 2017) Rio
Since you are not the original owner, at best it's at least 2 years or 46000 miles out of warranty. Under what circumstances would repairing the engine be Kia's responsibility?
  6. Air conditioning freon

    3G (2012 - 2017) Rio
I would hope that he has this sorted out by now, it's been two months.
  7. Help on clock spring 2013 kia rio

    3G (2012 - 2017) Rio
It's the part behind the steering wheel that allows the necessary electrical connections to be made regardless of the position of the steering wheel.
  8. Power Locks Installation.

    3G (2012 - 2017) Rio
Let us know how it turns out.
  9. Installing Pioneer AVH-X2800BS

    3G (2012 - 2017) Rio
Not sure about connecting the stock reverse camera to the Pioneer unit but I do know that in order to have to have the Sirius/XM work, you will need a separate xm tuner kit.
  10. Long life brake pads

    3G (2012 - 2017) Rio
The OEM Sorento pads must be much better than the OEM Rio pads. My wife is fairly easy on brakes and I changed ours at just under 35K miles.
  11. Steering wheel controls

    3G (2012 - 2017) Rio
Sometimes they just go bad. I had to replace the one with the volume controls a couple of years ago.
  12. KDM Spec Projection Headlights

    3G (2012 - 2017) Rio
From what I can see, the sedan combines the headlight low/high into one bulb/socket while the hatch separates them/ As long as the KDM spec hatch uses the same harness as the US spec hatch (I have no idea on that one), it would be perhaps as simple as getting the headlight harness (s) from a...
  13. KDM Spec Projection Headlights

    3G (2012 - 2017) Rio
I always thought that they were different because they have different part numbers. Found that out when we had to replace one about three years ago..
  14. KDM Spec Projection Headlights

    3G (2012 - 2017) Rio
Headlight housings for the sedan are different physically than the ones for the hatch and are not interchangeable.
  15. No power?

    3G (2012 - 2017) Rio
Changing the knock sensor on a 1.6 is a little tedious because it's kind of below and behind the intake manifold but it can be done without removing the manifold. There is only one knock sensor. This video is a 2012 Hyundai Accent but it's the same as a 2013 Rio.
