The pricing is pretty similar in the lower trims and is actually 1K cheaper than Sorento in SXL loaded trim.

I love the looks - fusion of Cadillac, Range Rover and Volvo XC90. I will most likely be adding it/replacing my Sorento with it.

Am I reading right that you only get AWD at the top trim (SX - Prestige)?

Still waiting for ground clearance specs, but with 20" wheels on the S and SX , it's pretty clear they're not serious about where these things go anyway.

AWD is in a package. SX is FWD otherwise.

One only. Same mpg figures as Sorento FWD 21/26/23 AWD 19/24/21

Right; so the only way to get AWD on any Telluride is by spending $45.5K USD at the top trim/package? Or is an AWD package available at lower trims?

Only slightly more expensive than an equivalent Sorento (in terms of features), but you get more room inside and better looks. I have zero issue taking a couple of thousand hit on my brand new Sorento to upgrade when the Telluride is available. Life is too short.

Once these hit the streets there really won't be much incentive to purchase a high end Sorento unless Kia significantly adjusts the price.

Cheers!

Yes. I agree with what youíre saying; in terms of features. But what about someone who doesnít want (or canít afford) top-trim; are they out of luck for AWD?

Currently, you can get AWD on even the lowest trim Sorento LX ($26K MSRP), but is that trend going away with the Telluride? That is my question.

Oh cmon. Please read the complete post and the link. AWD package is always available with all trims as a 1800-2000 option. EX and SX additionally give you self leveling rear suspension.
