2015 Kia Soul not heating up on cold days.

I have a 2015 Kia Soul that the coolant temp. does not heat up on cold days.
It will get warm almost to the middle while driving, but setting at stop lights it goes back down almost to the C mark.

Any help would be greatly appreciated

Most likely your thermostat has failed. I havn't looked for its location but normally it is easy to replace and inexpensive.

The thermostat housing is located on the engines right side on our 2016 Soul + (when standing at the front of car)
It is slightly hiding below a number of hoses and wires. I wouldn't hesitate to replace the thermostat if you have
a some mechanical aptitude or like working on cars. I'm surprised you didn't get other responses.

I had mine replaced by the dealer (free) the first winter. Been fine since.

Isn't it covered by the 5/60 Warranty? The dealer should cover it. (Unless it's one of those "fine print exemptions")

Thermostat! Mine went bad a year or so ago? On my 2015' Sorento, Kia replaced it. Dead slow to heat up! Now it seems to be happening again, and they're 30miles away!

I have changed a few thermostats myself over a lifetime, but my experience has been
that thermostats can last the life of the vehicle or just suddenly go bad in short mileage.
Never needed to replace the t-stats in my wife's previous 2003 Chevy Impala sold at 100k miles,
or my previous Honda Pilot sold at 85k miles, or my current 2009 Honda ST1300 motorcycle with 66k miles on it.

I'll add one more vote for thermostat. Do it now.
