Engine compatibility

Hello,
I am new here so am sorry if this is wrong section. I could not find the answer so I am asking ... I have Picanto 2013 plate 1.0L petrol. Engine is smooking, drinking oil like it is running out of fashion. Just failed emisison test and car is .. guess that .. out of waranty I was told by dealer becasue of high miles on clock. So basicaly am looking for new engine, but am not sure what code is my engine, where to find it and what range of years am supposed to look for. I mean are engines from old picanto compatible with mine? Or am I looking for engines say 2011 onwards only? Also am not totaly sure about waranty. Manual said 140 months and unlimited miles but dealer said yes unlimited miles but only in first few years, nothing specific so i feel a bit pushed away becasue i dont know and they might just dont wanna do it because it is expensive and rather would sell me a new car instead .. understandable ... thank you for any tips and answers
