Check Engine Light

CEL came on while driving down the interstate in snow storm.
The nav screen shows a message and a voice exclaims that there is a potential problem with the Engine Control System and to make an appointment with your Kia dealer soon.
Kind of startlimg when it happened.
So made an appointment for Friday Feb. 8.

Interesting You could go to Pepboys or auto zone and have them read the exact code for you if it is not visible on your screen a quick google search of it will tell you some about it. Is the light on after you restart? wondering if the stability control was giving you issues or if your serpentine belt got wet and was slipping (that will drive any car computer crazy)

important is that the Little car icon at the bottom dash is green right where the EV light is I read somewhere that if it turns red or flashes do not drive the car

Light is on after re-start, and nothing is flashing. Taking it to the dealer is not a big deal to me since it is under warranty if it is something major at least they will have to deal with it. Since the message said to make an appointment soon, I don't think that waiting a week is a big deal. Probably weather related it has been snowy and very cold here.
UPDATE:
I ran a diagnostic test through UVO and it shows code P030400 Cylinder 4 - Misfire Detected.

Well the dealer said that the code was actually an old code that came back. They called it a "history code". Although to my knowledge this is the first time this code has ever shown up. Anyway they switched the #4 coil with the #3 and cleared the code so if the code comes up again and shows #3 as a misfire then we will know that it is the coil. So far the cel hasn't come back on, we will see....
