Safety standards. For whom they?

Here official crash test.
And here the real test.
Then there is a question: To what all these standards? Most likely only to protect the markets from production of the third countries.
Who that wouldn't speak, but it is necessary to hope only for itself and the experience.
Otherwise the death can come unexpectedly.

Car vs semi truck never wins, no matter how good the safety devices are. There are no safety devices that will substitute for driving too fast on icy/wet roads.

That's not the point. The matter is that the car was scattered on chips and to the driver has left the slightest chance of a survival. From the driver it was possible to learn only a foot part, it has processed, as in a meat grinder.
What it for the standard of such safety?
You choose, you choose the car attentively, and as a result you do not know on what you go.
The person has made three errors:
1. Has believed to sellers and has bought Navara.
2. Has driven on slippery road one wheel into snow.
3. Hasn't lowered draft of the motor when drift has begun.
What of these three errors has appeared fatal? You never can tell.

P.S.
In Russian the word "NISSAN" is rhymed with a word "independently". And we have such rhyme:
Has bought Nissan - have sex itself.
