Cargo Mat ... options?

Was looking into the Weathertech Cargo Mats for the cargo area. Do they have a good texture to keep things from sliding on them, or are they kind of harder than a rubber mat?

What does everyone else have?

Weathertech is a rip-off, plain and simple. Their prices are outrageous.

Their cargo liner will not prevent anything from sliding, but will protect the "carpet" (if you can call it that).
