Brake problem

So the pads on the front have been squeaking like crazy, especially in reverse. The brakes do not have to be applied for the squeaking to occur. So I ordered Duralast Gold Ceramic pads from Auto Zone. I took the tires off and callipers and took off the old pads. I replaced them and replaced the hardware as well. When I got everything back together I took it for a quick drive and it was worst than what it was before. Now the brakes grind constantly as though the caliper does not release. I do not know what is wrong. I took everything off and replaced it just as it was before I worked on it. Any ideas? I am really trying to avoid going through the dealer. I have done brakes on my other cars and never had a problem. Does anyone know anything that could be going wrong? Thanks in advance for any help.
