same here

Same here, I also bought mine in sept 09, except I have the v6. 37k miles and no problems at all. My only issue is the headrest angle which comes into play during long trips.

We take it in for routine scheduled maintenance and the local dealer experience has been great. The depreciation factor won't matter to us since it's the wife's car and she will keep it forever and the warranty it came with is unbeatable, so we have peace of mind should it ever need a major repair.

I appreciate all the input. It's very helpful.

Just an update on the search. The Borrego I was looking at got sold. Their sister dealer has another one. I got him to 19K -3K for my trade =16K for this second Borrego with 35K miles. Same deal as the one that got sold. I feel like I should hold out and try to get it down a bit more. I'd feel better at 15K with my trade.

I'm close to buying it but I found a beautiful fully loaded Hyundai Veracruz with 48K miles for 17K+ my trade. All wheel drive, navigation, beautiful interior etc etc.
I'm more of a truck guy but the Veracruz is very tempting.

Anyone else look at or have any experience with the Veracruz?

We bought a 2009 2wd EX V6 with 32,000 miles three weeks ago for $17,500 which included $500 for the certified warranty. For us, we couldn't beat the warranty (nearly as good as new car), the price and the value. It does ride rougher than my 2011 Explorer, but it tows 5,000 lbs, seats 7 and looks really nice so its a good second car for our family. We plan to keep it a long time so resale is not a big issue for us. MPG wise, I am a little disappointed, 16 city Driving, 20 Highway. Not bad really but not as good as the newest generation SUV's either.

Hey Thank you for your reply. Very nice to hear and you price info is really helpful too. The more I hang around this forum the more I want that borrego. This is a really friendly site and the info always comes in with a smile. If I don't lose this one I'm going to suggest or start a pic thread for our little borrego club. It would be fun to see them and maybe some modifications will follow. I wish you very good luck with yours.

Good luck with your purchase-I will be making the sale of my truck final on the 24th and hopefully purchasing the Borrego that weekend. I'll definitely put up some pictures immediately-hopefully with new tires shortly after!

Well it's President's day. Lost one Borrego but there is another near by. They want 19.200. 35 thou miles. Can't seem to get them below that. 3K for my trade. That leaves 16,200K diff to pay, they will Certify it for that. Feet are chillin. Maybe it's time to sell the trailer and look at better gas mileage.

Just bought my Borrego this past Friday. EX, V6, Black/Tan, $19,995... only 24K miles. Think I got a pretty good deal. Most of them were selling from $18-$22,000, but all of them hadd at least 30K miles on them.

I used Carmax, love them there, had it transferred from another city for FREE, so I could take a look at it and test drive it. Took me about 2 hours from test-drive to completed ownership! :-)

We're waiting (impatiently ) for ours. We finally found an EX V6/4WD CPO with 28K miles-but it was 650 miles away! However the dealer is a high volume place and it had been on the lot for a while so they made us a good deal. I think the fact that it was an EX with cloth, regular alloys, and none of the other pricey options (Bluetooth, sunroof, etc...) made it hard for them to move. We didn't care-all we want is the balance of the factory warranty, the V6, and the 4WD. Unfortunately it won't be delivered until a week from this Wednesday We can't wait!!! Pics as soon as it arrives!

Parts should not be a concern. The car is still being produced and sold all over the world. I have a V6 2011. They are now still offering the 2012 and I hope they bring over the 2013 soon. KIA Costa Rica - Mohave / Descripcin
I am sorry that you guys cannot buy this car new but Kia should be selling you parts for many years to come.
