Starting Problems After Sitting 2 Weeks

I am reporting a "strange" starting problem (and solution) that I encountered several months ago with my Borrego. You probably will not have this problem unless you let the vehicle sit for more than 2 weeks. My Borrego is not driven alot so it sits in the garage for a week or so at times.
I went to start it after sitting for 2 weeks and when I pushed the start/stop button the steering wheel and seats adjusted, the dash lights/gauges came on as it should, BUT, no start, AND I got a message that I must press the brake pedal to start (which I was doing). I tried this many times before calling the dealer. When the Tow truck showed up to bring it to the dealer, I tried it 1 more time and it started. I drove it to the dealer and they kept it for 3 days trying to duplicate the problem. It would not "act up" again.
The service manager said that he had never seen this problem before. I took it home and about 3 weeks latter it did it again (after sitting several days).
I got it to start by pressing really hard (almost kicking) the brake pedal.
I suspect that the power brake booster is bleeding down, making the pedal too stiff to allow brake switch(s) to engage and tell the ECU that the driver is trying to start the engine.
I am only guessing, but, it seems to work if you have this problem.

Followup: Brought it back to the dealer today. Service manager knew exaactly what the problem is (brake switch). When I brought it in several months ago for this, it would not act up for them, so, they could not troubleshoot the problem and they had never seen the problem in other Borregos. Appearantly, in recent months, it's become a big problem for Kia. I suspect there may be a recall on these brake switches.
