PLP - I agree with you especially here in KY - we do not get enough snow for winter tires (thanks mrtiki for the suggestion though). However, I do wonder if a better tire might be all I am looking for???

I HAD GEOLANDER HTS BELIEVE G051 PREVIOUSLY..THEY WERE GREAT TO START BUT AFTER HALF LIFE WERE LESS THAN IMPRESSIVE IN THEIR WEAR. THE GRABBER HTS IS LESS MONEY FOR MORE TIRE IMHO, ITS ALSO RATED HIGHER THAN THE YOKO ON TIRERACK.COM REVIEWS WHICH IS WHAT SOLD ME. KPS

I am having similar trouble in snow. Even in 4 wheel high, I can spin all four wheels way to easily on snowy streets. Im guessing its a tire issue also.

Edwelly And EXV8 do you deactivate your esc? My truck as soon as it starts to kick out in the back the esc kicks in and straitens me out. even at highway speeds which is very cool by the way? I have heard of the v6 being underpowered in the snow but EXV8 you should be fine with the traction control on and not getting stuck? Sorry to hear about your troubles big o tires have a decent name brand tire that looks pretty decent for the money.

lilmule - thanks for your post. The ECS is in the correct position (ON) for this type of thing - according to the owner's manual.

As far as the Yoko's being great tires, all I can say is how they performed on the Pilot I had. I would like to think that the Borrego would handle better in the snow than the Pilot. However, when I turn on 4WD Hi, honestly, I cannot tell any difference what-so-ever.

You are correct you want it on. Not one to live by the owners manual I have turned it off in bad weather AND there is a reason that it is a feature on our trucks (another day story) wife was not empressed
Anyway the yokos are a great tire If you loved them on your pilot then run them on the borrego. You wont be disappointed.
the only differance between 4 hi and allwheel drive is that instead of waiting for the rear tires to spin to change power distrabution. It locks in the split 60/40 i believe before the computer does it in all wheel drive,

lilmule: I know I would like them better than what I currently have but with only 21k on her and we don't get that much snow in KY - so I am not sure if it is worth $900. Make sense?

Oh it does i was meaning after you wore the old ones out, From your earlier post I thought you established it wasn't a 900 Buck problem yet.
P.S I love the look of your truck, from the way you described it.
