Those Nerf bars look a better than the OEM running boards my EX V6 4x4 came with. I had the dealer take them off and will be selling them on ebay. As I am 6'1", I don't need them.

We like the look of the nerf bars as well... if you don't buy the running boards with the vehicle but want them, you should definitely go with these instead imo... both in price and appearance. The running boards aren't bad, I just prefer these.

Does anyone know if you can put the nerf bars on the black Borrego EX? I can't have running boards because of the lower factory trim, but I never even thought about using nerf bars instead. Thanks.

I don't know for sure because I don't have an EX... but look at my first two pics above. Look under the lower side trim and see if you have the stock mounting bolts and rubber piece that is on the ground in pic 2. Then look at the mounting bracket in pic 1. Does it look like it will fit? To find out for sure, you would have to call the manufacturer.

Yes, you can see in pic #1 what came with the bars. It is everything you need. If that is your concern, don't worry. Just about anybody can install these in about 15 minutes.

Cool beans... I'd like to see them installed. Just a little tip to save you time; the part of the nerf bar that has a slight bend in it goes toward the front of the car. Don't worry, the bend is subtle and is supposed to be there. It looks good with it.

Hey guys, new member here.

I discovered this site by searching Google for nerf bars for my wife's new Borrego.

It seems that nobody else makes nerf bars for the Borrego except for these SideTrax bars.

I wish they made chrome or stainless, but beggars can't be choosers.

Thanx for the info and link, I'm going to order a set.

These are the only ones I've seen available. Borrego/Mohave is a new model... plus the fact that US SUV sales are way down, making aftermarket parts hard to come by. You could ask them if they come in chrome... maybe they can do it
