GCWR for an '09 Kia Borrego V8 2WD

Hi All,

I bought an '09 Kia Borrego Limited V8 2WD last month to tow an '05 Casita 17' Freedom Deluxe Travel Trailer. Loaded, the Casita will come in at under 3,500 lbs, so the Borrego's 7,500 lb towing rating is obviously more than enough. I have found information regarding the cargo carrying capacity, the GAWR for both the front and rear axles, as well as the GVWR for the Borrego. I know I am good to go, but I would still like to know the Gross Combined Weight Rating (GCWR) for V8 2WD Borrego. Any ideas on what it might be ?

Thanks,

Dean

P.S. - Love the Borrego!

Hi All,

Apparently, the GCWR of a Borrego is an elusive number. I even called Kia Corporate. Talked with a helpfu person who put me on hold several times trying to talk with the right person, but to no avail.

I will probably never tow anything larger than our Casita travel trailer with our Borrego, but I was curious regarding the GCWR. Not a big deal.

That is really odd. Have you tried towing the travel trailer yet?

Hi johnmark23,

No chance to tow yet! The cover is on the Casita and it is a bit of a hassle to take it off and on. However, I did hook it up, pull the trailer out to the street and back up. I did this a few times. That is the extent of my towing at this point!!! Hope to begin camping by late March???

Thanks,

Dean
