201,000 miles going strong. Anyone with more?

My borrego has exceeded my expectations.

I have 201,000 hard abusive New England taxi miles all on the original engine, transmission, shocks, struts, tie rods, and controll arms.

I go about 10k between oil changes. It eats a little oil now but leaks nothing.

I love how there is no timing belt to worry about. I never changed spark plugs or transmission oil yet.

I've never towed with it but I have had about 8 different taxi drivers drive it.... Some of which that drove it aggressively. It gets loaded with up to 8 people regularly.

It's been in lots of fender benders but still looks good from 10 feet. KIA was onto something when they built this mini tank.

Is there any similar longevity stories?

Any service you guys recommend I should do?

I hope that I do as well as you! My Borrego Limited V8 has been great so far, but, I only have about 60K miles on mine. I believe the drive train is pretty bulletproof on these things.
Hyundai/Kia is making some pretty impressive vehicles now. The very early models (95-2003) left a lot to be desired quality wise, but, like any successful manufacturer, they have steadily improved their quality. Kia currently has three cars with the J D Powers "highest initial quality" award.

I bought a jet black LX with 119K on it back in January. I have since put about 2000 miles on it and learning things every time I drive it! I have found some of the same problems others have had, passenger sun visor pops out of ceiling but fixed that by wrapping emery paper around post to hold on place, sometimes all electrical systems not function properly but restarting usually resets those problems. Now this one I can't find a solution for and asking for help. The people that owned it before me were kind of pigs and must have let their children do whatever they wanted in the vehicle, it is/was a mess! I've vacuumed and cleaned the upholstery but there is so much junk etc stuck under the 2nd and 3rd row of seats I can't get at to clean up, especially the 3rd row. It looks like the seats do flip forward on a hinge but if there is a release I can't find it! I am enjoying the vehicle but I really would like to get all the debris cleaned out. Thanks for any help offered!

They need to be unbolted to remove them. See if this pdf document helps.

Sorry for the delay but thanks for the PDF. I thought it might be something simple to remove or flip forward the 3rd seat. It looks like there are pivots on the front but I guess thats not what they are. I have a new problem now, I think I have a problem with my fender mounted fuse panel. It clicks when you move it side to side and it won't even turn over when the outside temperature is cold. I was getting random dash lights when running but would disappear when restarted, guess I will pull board and look for cracks!

Not quite there, yet. Have a 2009 LX with V6 which has 120K so far. CD player went out early on and the alternator quit around 100K, but the power train still runs as good as new. Besides its jolting ride, it's the great truck.

128K on my 2009 V6 LX. Front passenger wheel bearing out at 95K, Bad part broke the speed sensor twice (the first repair I paid for) and dealer put a second new bearing in. Transmission started to stay stuck in high gear but a turn off and restart would clear it. Dealer put in a new transmission at 98K miles. Outside temperature guage is very slow to read the real temperature but eventually gets there. Just had new struts and shock and tie rod ends put on at 128K. 200 bucks for each...holy crap...repair guy gave me no warning on extreme prices. Both visor's decided to fail within 3 weeks of each other with the plastic part breaking allowing the thing to fall and hang by the light wire. Trying to figure out a good fix without buying new.

Rear hatch door started to rattle....hasp was loose and I was able to tighten it back up..still rattles a bit but I will have another go.

All in all a pretty good vehicle..hope the plasticy stuff inside holds up for another 2 years or so.

UPDATE (7/2016): AC compressor went out at 130K miles. Some weird voltage fluctuations head lights dimming for a second when I put brakes on. Might be my imagination but I'm keeping an eye on it. Alternator putting out 14.2 volts and new battery so...?

This is good to hear. I bought a V6 LX 4wd with 24k(yep it really had that little on it) on it last July. I'm at 42k now. Also in New England
