Hey JB and Ron,

3rd party adds are slowing down my chrome browser some, but it's not that bad on my end.

What about all the posted pics/charts/diagrams that are no longer appearing in our posts on the site?

Embedded YouTube videos have also disappeared!

Will this be fixed? Or is there no fix for it.

Thanks!

Richard

Can you give an example of youtube not showing?

Linked images should only disappear if the host does not support HTTPS, which it will have to in time as that is becoming the standard. Browsers do not like to load with that manner, it views the images as a security risk

Thanks for that @GottaCruise , I'll give that a try.

Until now I've been using Ghostery and Adblock Pro, but it still hangs fairly often on those links that I posted.

Hmmm... odd. I don't seem to have the issues with the links that you describe Ron (using MacBook Air/Chrome). The only Facebook, Twitter and Google content that I can see that would be loading on the page are the share buttons, and I can't imagine that they would be the cause of such a big slowdown. What device/browser do you view the site from?

Cheers,

Erik

I have encountered this on my MacBook Pro at home using latest version of Firefox and Safari, and at work on my company HP EliteBook running Windows 7 Enterprise and Chrome.
Spectrum 100+ gb connection.

It seems better with "uBlock Origin " that @GottaCruise recommended.

On the bottom left of the status bar is where I can see everything that is loading on each page, but you won't have time to screen capture them UNLESS its taking ages to load.

Update on YouTube videos not showing...

I tried to play them in different browsers and found out that they play fine in some browsers but not in others.

For instance, I couldn't get they to play in the Microsoft Edge browser (I keep getting an error message when I try to play them), but got them to play fine in Chrome (latest version of the browser). However, my laptop computer (which I'm typing this on right now) uses an older version of the Chrome browser and the videos no longer show up at all (they are just blank).

As to the loading speed of the site pages...

They load at a decent speed on my windows laptop, but take forever to load on my wife's windows laptop.
