Ron....
My wife and myself run Firefox on our Linux OS laptops and our Linux server and have no problems on the internet or forums...
We got away from Microsoft "Windows" because of constant viruses, malware, trojan horses, updates, and very slow operation of the computers...

My wife works mostly from home for "Lifeline Screening" doing event(s) scheduling and over the past year has been able to do all of her events via Linux
They (Lifeline) used to run proprietary Microsoft software and she was forced to use "Windoz"...
Her laptop (that was very SLOW) now flies and she or I would NOT go back to any version of Windows... We're spoiled...

Your Mac OSX is based originally upon from BSD, which is a clone of UNIX. Linux is also a clone of UNIX...
That's why it is relatively "secure"... (nothing is perfect)..

How does Safari do on these forums?

Dave, thanks for the confirmation that FireFox is working fine on your side - maybe I need to review some of the add-ons or possibly do a clean install.

Its fine on Safari, but I just cant get accustomed to Safari.

In our home we also use only Macs, but I have a Windoz HP laptop that I use for a few apps related to my RC helicopters and my Harley tuner. My work laptop is also Windoz.

Dang, I wiped all traces of FireFox from my Macbook Pro, did a fresh clean install with no add-ons and it does the same, still get the script errors when attempting to quote a post.

hey there,

can you try something for me and disable hardware acceleration and see if that helps to fix it for you?

Hi Shane,

Disabled FF hardware acceleration, restarted and still get the same script errors, I could however stop them and get to the point of being able to post this reply, ...... previously I had to close FF and restart each time I got the script error message.

See attached image of script errors.

Edit: Now I get a long list of previously posted attachments, and no option to add a new attachment.

when it pops up again, can you get me a pastebin of the code. you can do this by clicking on "debug script" copy it all and post it in a pastebin for me.

Pastebin.com - #1 paste tool since 2002!

also, can you provide the following for me as well:

- Browser you are using
- Devices its happening on
- When it happens (quotes, replying, etc)
- The pastebin of the code
- does it happen every time or sometimes?
- browsers you have tested this on as well. does it happen with all browsers?

get me all this and we will take a further look into the cause.

Thanks , Ron.

Edit: This forum is also unstable using Safari - I get never ending beachballs when trying to add attachments - no issues with other VBForums using FireFox and Safari.

Trying to create a new thread highlighting the new attachment arrangement, and to request that the 'Manage Attachments' allow you to select a good few files and then hit the upload button (now you have to upload each file separately). See attachments of screen shots from a Harley forum that I frequent.

The long list of every file I've previously attached is cumbersome.

Hey,

We have the tech team looking into that attachment issue that you posted screenshots for. They will be working with the development team to see if they can get that resolved once and for all. Case#2172573. We'll let you know as soon as we get an update on the issue.
