Exclamation Kind Suggestion, to the Forum's Administrators & Moderators

I am somehow Tired of seeing too many People that signs up here, without filling the spaces for important information, such like Car Model \ Year / Trim level, worldwide location, etc...

In my own humble opinion, such information should be Mandatory / Obligatory, otherwise the sign up process should be Denied.

If you turn to Mandatory / Obligatory those information spaces, you'll avoid some Spammers and also you'll ease the process of Helping the Newbies who omits to provide that info and keeps asking questions like if we were a bunch of Wizards & Pythonesses to know the details about their cars... in example:

Arrow Don't let me be Misunderstood!

I am always keen to Help everybody, but How could I help someone who says that has a problem with the car, but does Not say which Car is it?

No, I'm Not asking too much from the Users, but asking more from the Kia-Forums' setup, so the people who is getting registered, shall write the details about their Cars and Location, in that way, it will be easier to Help.

Kind Regards.

Its a difficult one.

MOD's are not authorized to make configuration changes, this is solely the domain of Admin.

We have great difficulty with new members trying to post before responding to their activation email.

The best we all can do is to prompt those that have not filled in their profile detail, and point out to them that they are doing themselves a disservice when providing insufficient detail when asking the open forum for assistance, or just ignore those that cant make the effort to add the basic detail, or post in the appropriate section of the forum.

Somehow, that has been happening since long time ago on the Forums, and I bet that the Newbies feels frustration for not obtaining the answers that they're Seeking, also they will never know that it is their fault for not providing sufficient information.

So, it is a Waste of Time, Effort, Bandwidth, storage, etc... and the result is to have a Lot of Threads without any useful information.

Can the Mods ask for that configuration Change, to the Admins then?

Kind Regards.

Thank you for the suggestion. We have a few forums where entering your location and car type is required when you sign up on the forum. We can easily set it up like this on the forum.

~ Danniella

Update - I change the forum setting to make location and vehicle mandatory fields to enter : )

The fact that you used the phrase Pythonesses just made my week. Good show!
