I have a kia optima hybrid ex, which is a lease car and i am about to return it, too bad i can not get the same deal on the car, i leased it for 295.00 back in the day (2016) and now i can not (bummer). So i was looking at kia forte ex, and since i also test drov Honda civic, i wanted to know if the cabin in forte is not noisy?

I also test drove the Civic prior to purchasing the KIA Forte EX with 16" wheels. The Forte has a very quiet engine, at least on warm days, you can barely hear it at low speeds, 57 dB when idling according to my phone. The Civic is similar, around 60 dB when idling. I read a review comparing different brand car model noise levels by Car and driver, can't find it anymore, according to them the 2018 KIA Forte is quieter than the Civic. Haven't found anything for the 19.

I would say the Forte's suspension is not as good as the Civic, so you'll feel more vibration and hear bumps on bad road. Can't really complain when the price difference is so big.

My recommendation would be, as suggested, to test drive it yourself. As long as you don't floor the accelerator you can't hear the IVT. The feel is pretty for CVT transmission.

Problems solved. Brakes. All new brakes front and rear installed yesterday. The thumps, bumps, clunks, and grinds and drags are all gone.
New brakes, new Michelin tires, an exterior detail, and oil change. Maybe this 2016 will last a few more years.
