Any else notice straight after the engine is shut off the car immediately makes two consecutive clicking noises from the front? I just noticed it this week with no music on and window down.

Can any one confirm if theirís does this? Car is only 3 weeks old!

My 2014 has done this since I have owned the car...since August 2013. I wouldn't be concerned. Just relays clicking off.

I wouldn’t say don’t worry about it until you are sure it’s relays. I have a 2016 Kia Forte and am the original owner. Mine just started doing it a few weeks ago. I have an appointment to have it looked at for the second time. The first time they could not replicate it. For my issue I learned that it only clicks after the engine has heated to temp. It won’t click if the engine is cold. I would suggest turning it on and off with a cold engine. Does it click? Then try it when your engine is hot. I can let you know what the shop says about mine on Monday

I had my car (2016 Kia Forte) in the shop three times over this. I am the original owner and it has not always done this. The noises started about three months ago for me. I am told though, that it is normal and part of the shut down process of the throttle plate. Though I feel if this was “normal” than it should always happen and no other car I have owned, has ever done this. The part I also find suspect, when I took it the first two times they could not replicate the noise. If you can’t replicate it, how is it normal. I have an outside mechanic who is going to look at it. I’ll keep you posted!

So I have the answer that makes more sense to me but not sure if it’s 100% believable but makes more sense.

Kia had to preformed some service actions on some of their models to “self clean” the throttle body. It essentially causes the Throttle Plate to open and close a few times when the engine is shut off to prevent a build up inside the unit. In my case it was a new noise as the Servuce Action was prefromed during and oil change, but not explained to me 100% so I was not expecting the noise and it was new to me. Why the dealership who did the update couldn’t be explain this to me is beyond me, it took another dealship to look over this issues and me showing them the sound

I had a 2015 GDI that did this and my new 2019 also does this, you guys are being to sensitive to this kind of thing !
1. If the battery is not going dead it's not an issue.
2. If the car is running correctly and no CEL light not an issue.
3. These cars have 100's of different software routines that run at different times you can stay up all night trying to figure it out

The new 2.0 2019 redesigned engine is so much better, no engine noise on start up, my GDI 2015 2.0 made me sick on noise on startup, people will try to tell you it's the injectors or fuel rail, NOT I got mine to quite down Mobil1 and Lucus synthetic oil treatment.

It’s not being sensitive. It’s looking into a noise that was not always there 🤣🤣🤣. If the car would have done it from the beginning then fine but not two years into owning the car.

Thanks for the response though 😁
