replacing Factory HU with Pioneer 2300NEX

I just bought a 2017 Sedona with about 27K on it. The minivan came with a Radio without Nav and without UVO. I bought a Pioneer 2300NEX to replace it.

I am planning on installing this myself (actually I started the installation this weekwend). Here is my list of parts that I bought:
- Dash kit, Metra 95-7365B.
- Metra wiring kit 70-7304.
- Parking pass bypass pass for pioneer radios.
- Factory rear camera wiring kit, AX-HYKIACAM2-6V.
- Factory steering wheel control kit, Metra Axxess ASWC-1

The radio is in but I don't have the wiring instruction for the rear camera and the steering wheel. I contacted Axxess support and they don't have the information so they asked me to take a picture of the plugs and sent them. I did and I am just waiting.

The removal of the factory radio and installing of the pioneer were straight forward. The wiring kit allows most the wiring to be done off the vehicle and it was just unplug the old radio, plugged in the wiring harness to the factory plugs and plugs the harness to the pioneer. This HU comes with a USB cable so I ran that down below the driver side panel. The external mike was run to the driver side pillar's panel.

I can't post any picture yet but feel free to ask any question about the installation.

If anybody has a wiring for the factory plug so I can finish the backup camera and steering wheel control, it will be appreciated.

Now I need a reverse wire from the car wiring harness to hook it to my aftermarket HU. Anybody knows which wire this is? Any wiring diagram would be appreciated.

Thanks for the link. This should get me going on the last piece of the installation.

I got everything in but I could not get a steering wheel control to work. I know the connection is right thanks to mletchworth and his diagram. Metra support also confirmed it. I just couldn't get the interface box to talk to the car. According to Metra's instruction, I need to start the car and then roll the volume wheel up slowly until the LED stops blinking. It should return 7 long green LED flashes, follow with 6 RED flashes (for Pioneer HU) and then a steady red LED.

However I didn't get 7 long green flashes. I got 7 short green flashes, follow by 6 red flashes and then a blinking red and green LED. Metra told me that it is tricky to program due to the scroll wheel. Here is their instruction
"you will need to roll the wheel at a slow pace, the best way to do that is by using a cordless drill with something like a polishing wheel from a dremel kit"

Now I didn't do that because I don't have a polishing wheel. I am close in pulling this out and return it. Anybody has any idea on how to do this?

Try this
2016 Kia Sedona LX aswc-1 wiring
Pink to pin 1
Blue/Pink to pin 13

you may have to do a factory reset on your aswc-1

Does this mean it worked for you? I could not for the life of me get it to work, so I returned the aswc-1

I haven’t tried it yet. I’m barley getting all of my parts slowly I’m in a tight budget. I already started on my harness, I made my own aux, mic,usb cable to retain all factory ports. And retain factory reverse camera on the Pioneer 4200nex.
I’m following the guide from spceman_spiff
He got it working on his 2016 Kia Sorento. I got a 3 day guest account on the Kia Tech website for kia technicians and I got my audio harness. I found out that it’s the radio harness just different color wires. There’s 3 type of kia stereos. The website has everything from A to Z about every kia vehicle. I know exactly what wire goes where on my sedona radio harness. Did you try a software update on the aswc-1?

I know for sure pin 1 is can bus high
And pin 13 can bus low. Did the technicians mentioned how to connect to the can bus?
