Question need help

so the intake is out of the way and I cant get the front cvvt solenoid out. any tricks to taking it out? I changed rear plugs and found the driverside most plug was not tight, and the coil pack bolt was also loose. also I did verify that the front screen is intact,

Probably suction doesn't want to give up it's hold. Did you try tapping on it a bit with a small hammer?

it hits the lower half of the intake. so close but it wont clear. I just put it all back together and it started hard and gave a crankshaft position sensor code p305 I think.

My OCV was difficuilt to extract, there is an 'o' ring on the body, which I assume adheres to the bore that it is in. I persisted with twisting and pulling and it eventualy came loose.
P305 is missfire cyl 5.

Given the P0305, you might want to take a look at that one again. One good simple test is to swap the coil pack and see if the cylinder misfire follows that coil.

Going to go drive it this morning. I will update when I have results. As far as the front cvvt it hits the lower part of the intake ( the valley) and will not come out. I get it 90% out (I can see the screen part) but that's it.

Sorry, but I'm not familiar with your V6 engine, and don't have a service manual for it either. Perhaps someone who knows that engine can chime in and explain how to get that OCV out. But if the screen is intact, then it should hopefully be ok to leave it in.

that's what I went with. Not sure why I got the Crankshaft code at start up. Going to road test it now. Be back soon. So it started with no code. I drove it about ten miles. Got it fully warmed up to temperature. Shut it off and restarted. P0355 code popped. then misfire codes. reset the codes and shut it off and restarted it. Drove back home with no issues....

That code makes it now seem even more likely that the problem is a bad coil. After checking the coil connector and nearby wiring, swap the #5 coil with another to see if the code changes to another cylinder.
